Kingdom Builders Training Ministries International was founded in 2023 in Bowie, Maryland, to close it.
Our vision
Every joint in the body has a supply. Ours is training.
The vision came years before the ministry did. Across the body of Christ there is no shortage of preaching, no shortage of places to worship. That is good, and we thank God for it. But the Lord kept pressing one thing on our hearts: discipleship is still missing.
So this was never meant to be a large church in one location. We are a training ministry with a congregational life by necessity, not by ambition. People come, and God attaches some of them to us. Most go back out.
We train believers to handle the word skillfully — reading it soundly, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit — and to be formed in His character while they do it. There is a practical side too: you learn to minister by ministering. But ministry is Christ’s work through a yielded person, so character matters as much as competence.
Then we release them. Whether you are sent somewhere else or you stay and build here, the aim is the same: that you are strong enough to fulfill what God has purposed for your life. In time that may include ordination and certification.

Leadership
Founder & Pastor
Pastor Dean answered the call to preach at twenty-five and has carried the gospel ever since. He is an author, teacher, preacher, prophet and mentor, and the founder of Kingdom Builders Training Ministries International.
He writes to put sound teaching in people’s hands, with three titles published and more in draft.
Professionally he is president of Dean Designed Learning, an instructional designer and corporate trainer who has spent more than a decade building training for adult learners — onboarding, sales, and professional development, delivered live and online. Before that he served seven years as a department head and training lead at The Holy Land Experience in Orlando, speaking to public audiences daily. He has been facilitating adult education and writing curricula for community and nonprofit organizations since 2003.
Preaches and teaches in person and online, leads Bible studies and prayer with the leadership team, and ministers monthly in the assisted living and memory care units of a local senior living community. Supports a partner church and orphanage in Kisii, Kenya with mentorship and Bible teaching. Partners with other ministries on Vacation Bible School, and has mentored young people through a summer sports outreach program.
Served on the pastoral committee and the prayer and worship auxiliaries, and led the men’s auxiliary. Preached, planned worship services and events, led Bible studies, provided pastoral counseling, and played piano and sang on the worship team.
Served on the worship team, singing in English and Spanish. Preached through an interpreter and led Bible studies.
Associate minister, cell group leader and worship leader. Preached, led Bible studies, taught and counseled cell group members, and organized nights of worship.
A season of transition. Preached, taught and served in a number of congregations rather than one, before settling at New Life.
Served in youth ministry, evangelism and worship leadership. Preached and led Bible studies, oversaw the community food pantry and worked in the community grocery store, and served on the board of the church’s community development corporation.
Co-Pastor
Co-Pastor Chantel serves alongside her husband with one aim: to teach the Bible clearly, so people can understand it and apply it to their lives.
Professionally she is a senior instructional designer with more than twenty years in learning design, technical training and technical communication — taking complicated material and turning it into instruction people can actually use, for clients across technology, banking, healthcare and education. She has taught in person throughout: as a graduate teaching and research assistant at the University of Central Florida, leading in-person compliance training for an engineering firm, and across many years of Bible study. It is the same instinct she brings to teaching Scripture.
She and William build their companies together: she serves as vice president of both Dean Designed Learning and Dean Professional Company, alongside Kingdom Builders Enterprises and Set Apart Press, their publishing imprint. She is mother to their son Daniel, who is five.
Teaches and disciples weekly alongside Pastor Dean, and serves in prayer with the Royal Priesthood Reformation.
Served in worship, Bible studies and prayer, and on the technology team, until the move to Maryland.
Performed and later worked in administration at the biblical theme park, then owned by TBN, and served in prayer there.
Graduate study alongside continued service in worship, Bible study and prayer ministries.
Field service supporting Bible translation work.
Answered the call to ministry here in 2004 and was ordained by the State of Maryland, her pastor signing the papers. The same church now hosts The WORD CAFE.
Covering
We are not part of a formal denomination. That makes accountability more important, not less.
Our board is not a letterhead. It includes the pastor who ordained Co-Pastor Chantel and received her call to ministry, and a leader Pastor Dean served under during his years at The Holy Land Experience — people who have watched both of them work for decades and are free to say so plainly.
We also maintain a separate accountability board. It exists so that if something is ever wrong — a concern about conduct, a question about how this ministry is run — there is somewhere to raise it that is not us. We would rather have that in place and never need it.
Beyond both boards, we keep close relationships with those we have served under across the years. They give counsel when we ask for it and a listening ear when we need one. We did not build this alone and we do not run it alone.
Both of us are licensed through the Royal Priesthood Reformation and completed Seminary Without Walls. Co-Pastor Chantel is ordained by the State of Maryland; Pastor Dean is ordained by the State of Maryland as well.
What we believe
The wording here is not itself inspired, and no claim is made that it contains all the truth in the Bible — only that it covers the orthodox fundamentals we hold to be essential to a full gospel ministry.
The Bible is the inspired Word of God, a revelation from God to men, the infallible rule of faith and conduct, and superior to conscience and reason, but not contrary to reason.

The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent, self-revealed “I AM,” and has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association, by simultaneously existing as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Man was created good and upright, for God said, “Let us make man in our image and after our likeness.” Man, by voluntary transgression, fell, and his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

The grace of God, which brings salvation, has appeared to all men, through the preaching of repentance toward God and through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; man is saved by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, and being justified by grace, has become heir of God according to the hope of eternal life. The inward evidence to the believer of his salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit. The outward evidence to all men is a life of holiness.

All believers should ardently expect and earnestly seek the Promise of the Father, which is the baptism in the Holy Spirit. With it comes the infilling of power for life and service, and the bestowment of the gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry. This experience may be distinct from and subsequent to the experience of the New Birth.

By the power of the Holy Spirit we strive to obey the command, “Be ye holy, for I am holy.” Sanctification is the will of God for all believers, and should be earnestly pursued by walking in obedience to God’s Word.

The church is the holy Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of her great commission. Each believer is an integral part of the church, and their names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

Divinely called and Scripturally ordained ministry has been provided by our Lord for a two-fold purpose: the evangelization of the world, and the edification of the Body of Christ.

Ordinances
The ordinance of baptism by burial with Christ should be observed, as commanded in the Scriptures, by all that have repented of their sins and in their hearts have believed on Christ as their Savior and Lord. In doing so, they declare to the world that they have died with Christ and that they have also been released to walk with Him in newness of life.

The Lord’s Supper, consisting of the elements — bread and fruit of the vine — is the symbol expressing our sharing in a memorial to His suffering and death, and a prophecy of His second coming, and is enjoined to all believers “until He comes.”
